These Schmetz DBxK5 KK round shank commercial embroidery needles have a large eye with a short shank. The short shank on these KK needles make them the ideal needle for use with 3D PuffyStitch embroidery foam.  When doing puff embroidery with these needles, there is less compression on even the thickest 3D foam due to the higher position of the needle shoulder.  With these short shank needles, you’ll get fewer thread breaks, a sharper perforation and a smoother puff embroidery process. They are excellent for high speed machine embroidery.
