A sewing or embroidery kit isn't complete without Gingher 7-1/2" Pinking Shears for making a nice finish on seams and a distinctive edge for crafts. Pinking scissors, blades of which are saw-toothed instead of straight, produce a ravel-resistant zigzag cut on seams. To maintain the original, hand-tuned setting of the blades, we recommend cutting only one layer of material at a time. Blades should be cleared of lint frequently to maximize effectiveness. Every sewer's must-have cutting implement to provide a ravel-resistant edge to fabric. Cuts a perfect zigzag edge on fabric to prevent unraveling and reduce fraying. Serrated blade on one edge assists in gripping delicate fabrics such as silk and rayon. Blunt tip on blades will not snag fabrics. Durable double-plated chrome over nickel.
